NFL Best Bets: Rams v Giants

The travel story around this one is the Rams coming back from Australia, but they flew out shortly after that game and have had more rest than the Giants, who are coming across from the East Coast. It's close to a wash. The bigger factor is that the Rams are likely to be without Puka Nacua, and I expect a fair bit of this game to be played on the ground. The Giants will still need to throw some, and that's where the value sits in their receiving market.

Isaiah Likely looks like the obvious option, but his receptions line at 4.5 is too high for me, and I expect him to draw some decent coverage. Malachi Fields is the way I'm leaning instead. He was on the field for 72% of the Giants' offensive snaps last week and turned four targets into two catches. On that snap share, I think the targets tick up here, and three catches is not asking much.

Cam Skattebo carried a heavy workload last week, with 18 attempts for 81 yards at 4.5 yards per carry. Najee Harris is active this week, which might take a little of that away, but Skattebo should still see the bulk of it. At that efficiency, 52.5 isn't a high bar.

Jaxson Dart ran for 54 yards off 11 attempts last week. In his 12 starts last season he went over 34.5 in seven of them, and he has the legs to push towards 40 here.

He also has real touchdown upside with those legs. Dart scored rushing touchdowns in seven of his 12 starts last season, and twice he ran in two in the same game. At $3.50 he's the anytime scorer I want on this card.
