NRL Round 2 Matchup Edge: Every Fixture, Every Position

8 games

Which club leaks points to which position, matched against the players actually named opposite them in Round 2. Free, and rebuilt every time the team lists move.

Round 2 has been played. The positional numbers below are current season-to-date, not what they were before these games.

The standouts in Round 2

Ranked by how far each club sits from the competition average at that position, not by raw points, so a tight position is not crowded out by a high-scoring one. One per game.

How the edges are worked out

For each of the seven positional groups we take the SuperCoach points every club has conceded per game this season, then measure how far a club sits from the competition average at that position in standard deviations. Only clubs more than one deviation out are listed, so a position where every side is much of a muchness never produces a row. Players come from the published team lists, so an edge is only shown when someone is actually named opposite it. Bench and reserve names are excluded. The same numbers drive the full matchup strength table.

Projections, prop hit rates and the full DVP breakdown for every player are part of a 7-day free trial.
